Snoop Dogg Upside Down Video

October23

Snoop has a new album officially ready for release.  He has been shooting music videos all week in a studio between downtown LA and Pasadena.  The same location that had been used for Saw 6.  All night shoots because of lighting and we all know that rappers don’t do mornings well.

I worked on the video for Upside Down, Snoops collaboration with a few other artists that I didn’t know.  A long 11 hour day for all of the girls who worked on it.  Cali from the reality show Chance at Love played a stripper.  Denise Love played Snoops love interest.  I was able to see the story boards for the video and I was very impressed  with the attention to detail.

Snoop is always a blast to work with and he is always having fun.  The prop department gave him a new prosthetic “pimp hand” he has a great time with.  It had green and blue LED lights inside that made parts of the hand glow.  One of the features artist on the song was wearing the craziest blue glowing contacts I have ever seen.  I have had to wear colored contacts before and its painful.

The directors and the rest of the crew were very funny people.  It was not a challenge to make it through an 11 hour day with these guys.  Hair and make up was a riot.  I have never laughed so hard while getting my hair straightened.  It was a great shoot and I look forward to more.
