If you want to be successful in the modeling industry there is a lot of information that you will need to know. Also you will need to act on it and be careful about certain choices you make that can affect your career PERMANENTLY!

I love being a model, it’s my dream job. I went to modeling school in Detroit when I was 12 years old. I work full time as a model. I try to fit in as many projects as possible. I work everyday. There are loads of different clients and industry professionals I’ve worked with all over the U.S. Designers are some of my most favorite people in the world. There is nothing that makes me happier than a designer that’s happy with their clothes on me.

I have fun with everything I do. I work in T.V. and film as well. I have worked with CBS, National Lampoons, MTV, WE women’s entertainment and lots of film. Publications are what I strive for. Nothing like the smell of a new tear-sheet.

I want to know how can I break into the modeling industry because I have looked countless times. All the times I have looked when I think I have found my break into modeling it turns out to be a scam. So where do I start to work my way into modeling and land a job in modeling? Well I would need to see your stats and photos. It’s not that hard to spot the scams, some of the wrst are the crappy modeling schools that you always see advertisments for. Also the scams are best spotted in things like One Source Talent, or anything you need to write a check for representation. There should be no money, upfront for anaything. However, don’t confuse this with agency marketing costs. If you agency says you need to shoot a new book and comp card you most likely do. also where you live makes a huge difference. If you live in a primary (new york, L.A. Miami, Chicago) market there will be lots of people compeating for many jobs in that merket. If you live in a secondary market like Dallas, San Diego, Detroit ect. There will be less jobs and less quality people in the area. If you live in Boise, ID there isn’t much of a market and this is where the scams are prevalent. When choosing an agency that you don’t have info on. Look at their address, are they in a nic area with a functional office?
