Tuesday Aug 11, 09 I attended the launch party for Em&co.  I’m so glad this designer has found her niche.  I have always felt there was a void in the market for mid level fashion.  The problem being you’re spending $100 or less for low quality items or spending $500 and over for high fashion.  There really are not very many $200 – $300 brands.  Em&Co is just that, beautifully trendy at a mid price.  Quality in handbags and shoes that are expendable in 3 years.  I love the concept and I think teens to cougars have been dying for this fashion hole to be pegged.

The party was beautiful.  The first time I have been to skybar and I just live down the street.  They had a great eclectic DJ and my favorite thing, miniature cupcakes.  All of the designers handbags were opulently  showcased museum style.  I was impressed with her use of textures.  I was eyeing a feather patent leather clutch all night.  Hollywood is very much behind her as well.  Keifer Sutherland, Jamie Lynn Sieglar and the entire cast of 90210 were then.  The Madden boys Benji and Joel made an appearance. 

The gift bag was great.  Generally the summer is gift bag less.  However, there was a handmade headband by Kelsie Hayes www.kelsiehayes.com  Sudzz conditioner which I have yet to try but it smells great.
