Rachel Mullins At Peak Models & Talent

So just a quick note. I recently got picked up by Peak Models & Talent in LA. I feel like this is a great fit for me and this agency specializes in my personal strong points. I’ve already been sent out twice in the couple weeks I have been signed with them. My agent Taylor is on pointe and her phone rings off the hook all day with clients booking her models. Simultaneously to signing a contract in LA, I finished up signing with ViVa Internationale of Dubai. I have been represented in Europe for years and have always felt like the UAE was a strong market. See my Viva...

Flex Those Muscles

So when your career is based on looks you need to work out a lot and flex those muscles…… Right. There is another way to flex that muscle when it comes to booking work. I’ll admit I’m rather koi about things. When people ask me how I booked certain jobs I just say oh they called and asked. This isn’t a lie but they were provoked to call don’t get it twisted. Pay attention to who is on the project and see if you know somebody or know somebody that knows somebody. Even better if you know somebody who previously worked with somebody. This is more classified under the anteloping category but it will make sense later. If you don’t know what anteloping means you’re way behind in reading my blog go back and figure it out it’s a very important theory and practice. Now flexing that booking jobs muscle. I’m generally unsupportive of name dropping and never say anything that isn’t true. Warning if you lie about something ie that you worked on a project and in reality you didn’t. You never know who did and they may call you out on it. Firstly, asses your assets and what you bring to the table besides obvious requirements. If this world was fueled by talent we wouldn’t be watching real housewives of dumb bitches or American idol. Now it can be something like helping with promo, connections, resources or any knowledge that is valuable to the client you want to work with. When I work trade shows for clients I do their twitter and make them YouTube videos. After...

Protect Your Wardrobe

After watching the “women’s right to shoes” episode of sex and the city. In short the part were our beloved SJP is required to remove her shoes outside a party. Between her silver monolo d’orsay peep toes and some other ladys bullshit sandals were both stolen by another mystery party guest. It conjured up a memory of why I made a work shoe rule. Back when I worked at Hooters we had to change into our uniforms at work. One day I was wear a pair of white key hole charles david wedges and an awful girl named Julia stole them. Ever since then I have been hyper vigulent of wardrobe theft. Now whenever I go to work I pull shoes from my special work shoe section. Every color I could need of shoes I don’t exactly care if anybody stole them. If somebody stole my prada platforms I would get arrested for strangling the nearest person. This goes for clothes as well. Don’t take anything you’re to attached to. Have specific things designated as work...

On Camera With Janice Dickinson

So check this shit out. Not to long ago I did an on camera interview for FilmOn.tv for a new swimwear show Janice Dickinson is working on. Have faith swimgerie has a new line of Brazilian bikinis that they are working on the campaign for. Janice Dickinson is the host of the show and it was great to meet her. I regularly see and hang out with every star in the world but I haven’t met many of my true idols which are designers and supermodels. I have met Heidi Klum at her La Confidential magazine party but that was ages ago. Upon entering the interview I wore a green monokini that I had altered a bit. Janice told me I had a formal wedgie and I should fix it. We then agreed it was called a moose knuckle. She a loud lady but that’s her thing. I did a walk that she liked, told me I needed to work out more. Which she would probably say to everybody. Followed by “fuck those skinny bitches”! The best part of the whole thing was while flipping through the pages of my book she instructed the dp to get a close up of my book and uttered my favorite words “do you see this, this is what a models book is supposed to look like”. Really it made my week. Shout out to the ladies who were doing it before...

J Cole Work Out Video

Last week I danced on the new video Work Out for J Cole.  It was a long shoot but the best crafty that I have had on a video.  However, the night catering wasn’t very good.  Drake showed up just to hang out for a few hours towards the end of the shoot.  He didn’t do anything about the icky catering.  I wore a blue dress and heels that I had worn to the BET awards 2 years ago.  The girls who worked on this video were hands own the best group of videos girls I have ever worked with.  They were all loads of fun. Jake Davis directed and most of the crew were females.  On rare occasion are there female crew members that are not in the beauty departments.  Made for a nice change of pace over dirty, furry crew guys who make bad jokes and ask stupid questions.  Kerri whose last name I don’t know but is kind of my hero because she is an executive producer on a lot of projects.  She really kept this shoot moving by yelling at the 1st AD to get his shit moving so we didn’t need to extend our permit.  J Cole had his homies at the shoot and they were great sports on the long hours.  They had lots of questions on how these things come together. Yes we called the guy with the mouse Jesus...
